The Parsnip Peak Fire, located 18 miles northwest of Pioche in Lincoln County, Nevada, remains active but is now 95% contained. The natural-cause wildfire began on June 25, 2026, and has burned 2,264 acres of federal land managed by the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Fire behavior is currently minimal, characterized by smoldering within timber litter and understory fuels.
Classified as a Type 4 Incident managed by a Type 4 Incident Commander, the response involves 64 personnel. To date, the total estimated cost of suppressing the fire has reached $1,800,000.
