The Cherry Fire, which ignited on June 26, 2026, has been fully contained after burning 34,252 acres of federal land in Juab County, Utah. Located 29 miles southwest of Santaquin, the blaze was determined to be natural in origin and primarily consumed 2.5-foot tall grass.
Managed as a Type 1 incident under a Type 4 Incident Commander, the fire required a total expenditure of $5,714,327.
