A moderate heat signature marked the final stages of a 100-hectare (247-acre) wildfire near San José, Honduras, as satellites detected three heat anomalies in the surrounding area over the final 48 hours of the incident. The blaze, which began on July 31, 2026, officially concluded during the region's typical fire season, the dry season.
