Since igniting on July 18, the blaze has maintained active behavior, with satellite sensors detecting a single heat signature over the last 48 hours indicating the fire's current footprint within Blaine County.

A Type 3 incident management team is overseeing 116 personnel as they work to secure the perimeter, which is currently 25 percent contained. The state-managed operation has incurred $300,000 in costs while battling the wind-driven runs across the landscape.
