Fueled by short grass in Owyhee County, the active DUNCAN Fire has burned 2,500 acres in Idaho since it started on July 24, 2026. Currently exhibiting moderate, flanking, and backing behavior, the naturally caused blaze is located 50 miles southwest of Mountain Home.
