The CHELAN HILLS Fire, currently an active Type 3 incident, is located one mile north of Orondo in Douglas County, Washington. Since starting on July 4, 2026, the blaze has burned 9,861 acres of private land consisting primarily of short grass. Firefighting efforts are currently managed by a Type 3 Team, with 135 personnel assigned to the operation.
